Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English and Spanish without an interpreter
  • Previous experience in a medical or dental patient setting preferred
  • Proficiency with automated scheduling systems and computer software like Microsoft Office
  • At least 3 months of cash handling and balancing experience
  • Valid California driver’s license with a clean driving record for driving the mobile clinic
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Cultural sensitivity and ability to work with diverse underserved populations
  • Willingness to drive the Mobile Dental Clinic when required

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Previous experience with patients in a medical or dental setting preferred
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Ability to work with automated scheduling systems
  • Demonstrated bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish without the need for an interpreter
  • Ability to multitask and manage time effectively
  • Knowledge of healthcare insurance and medical terminology
  • Cash handling and balancing experience
  • Valid California driver's license and clean driving record

Job Duties

  • Serve as the first point of contact for new and returning patients in the dental clinic
  • Answer phones and respond to general questions
  • Greet patients upon arrival and provide excellent customer service
  • Schedule patient appointments and assist with forms
  • Resolve issues related to appointments, insurance, fees, and other patient concerns
  • Enter and update patients' electronic medical and dental records using EPIC
  • Connect patients to dental providers and provide informed answers regarding dental health
  • Drive the Mobile Dental Clinic as needed
