Job Description

Willamette Dental is a reputable dental healthcare provider dedicated to delivering exceptional oral health services to patients across multiple locations, including the Northpointe Practice in Spokane. As a part of a larger organization committed to quality care and patient satisfaction, Willamette Dental emphasizes teamwork, patient engagement, and comprehensive dental treatment. They strive to create a supportive environment for both patients and staff by focusing on professional development and high standards of service. Established as a full-time employer, the Northpointe Practice offers a dynamic work environment with shifts structured as either three 10-hour shifts or four 8-hour shifts, making it conducive to work-life balance as well as consistent income.

The Care Advocate role at Willamette Dental plays a crucial part in facilitating effective communication between patients, clinical teams, practice managers, and appointment center representatives. This position acts as a bridge to strengthen the therapeutic alliance between clinicians and patients by supporting provider recommendations, interventions, and prescriptions. Primarily, the Care Advocate coordinates patient flow while ensuring quality customer service is provided at every patient interaction. With an hourly wage ranging from $20.00 to $23.00, this position is designed for individuals who are motivated by helping others and possess excellent organizational and communication skills.

The role involves overseeing daily schedules and maximizing appointment efficiencies while quickly resolving schedule conflicts. The Care Advocate is responsible for managing payment methods and documenting all dental service fees accurately, handling monies with diligence, balancing ledgers, and making timely bank deposits. Another important responsibility is the preparation and maintenance of patient charts according to company guidelines, ensuring that all records are organized and available for each appointment. This role demands building trust and rapport with patients by providing thorough information related to treatment plans and addressing patient questions effectively.

Collaboration with the clinical team is a key aspect, ensuring clear communication of treatment procedures and provider expectations to patients. The Care Advocate also triages emergency and unplanned treatment calls, schedules recalls, and coordinates referrals, thereby maintaining continuity of care. Compliance with Willamette Dental's Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) policies, including the use of N95 respirators and other safety measures, is mandatory to ensure both patient and staff safety.

Flexibility is another essential feature of this role, as the Care Advocate may need to travel to other locations within a reasonable range based on business needs. Reliable and predictable attendance is critical to ensuring that Willamette Dental can provide uninterrupted services to its members and patients. The company values dedication, customer service experience, and a willingness to learn as it supports its care advocates with opportunities for ongoing training and development to succeed in this vital position.
