Job Description
The establishment hiring for the Food and Beverage (F&B) Supervisor position is a vibrant and dynamic hospitality venue operating under the brands Den, The Cove, or Infinity. These venues are well-regarded in the hospitality industry for delivering exceptional dining experiences with a focus on quality service, guest satisfaction, and operational excellence. As hospitality establishments, they combine a welcoming atmosphere with top-tier culinary offerings, catering to a diverse clientele that expects attentive service and a memorable dining experience.
Working as an F&B Supervisor in such a setting offers a challenging and rewarding career opportunity. This supervisory role is critical in managing the daily operations of the dining and bar areas, ensuring that all guests receive responsive, friendly, and courteous service. The F&B Supervisor will lead a team consisting of servers and bar staff, scheduling and directing their activities to maintain smooth service flow, especially during peak hours. The role includes hands-on participation such as seating guests and serving during busy periods. With an emphasis on maintaining cleanliness and sanitation, the supervisor ensures that all areas meet high standards, contributing to a safe and inviting environment for both guests and staff.
In addition to guest service duties, this role involves evaluating guests for signs of intoxication to promote responsible alcohol service, consistent with legal requirements and company policies. The F&B Supervisor also takes on administrative responsibilities including preparing paperwork, managing inventory orders, handling cash controls, and overseeing staff performance appraisals to ensure operational efficiency and compliance with company standards.
Collaboration is a key element of the role, as Supervisors work closely as a team to support each other and uphold the company’s goals. Recruitment, selection, and training of new staff members are part of the responsibilities, highlighting the importance of leadership and mentorship. The position also requires involvement in marketing efforts for the F&B department, helping to promote advertising and promotional campaigns effectively.
The job demands adherence to federal, state, and local regulations related to health, safety, labor, and gaming, ensuring that all operational aspects remain compliant and that the establishment maintains its reputation and licensure. Flexibility is essential; the F&B Supervisor must be available for variable schedules including evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours driven by business needs. The role requires physical stamina as it involves standing for extended periods, walking, bending, and lifting, which aligns with the physical demands of working in an active hospitality setting.
Overall, the F&B Supervisor is a critical leader within the food and beverage operations, tasked with ensuring exceptional guest experiences, staff efficiency, and operational compliance. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about hospitality, leadership, and customer service to advance their careers within a reputable and supportive company environment.
