The role being offered is that of a Food Preparation team member at The Ritz-Carlton, located in Denver, Colorado. This is a full-time, non-management position with an hourly pay rate of $27.38. The role is integral to maintaining the high culinary standards expected by guests at this prestigious establishment. Responsibilities include preparing special meals and substitute items, regulating cooking temperatures, and ensuring proper portioning and presentation of food. The individual in this position must monitor both the quality and quantity of food prepared, maintain accurate food logs, and communicate effectively with chefs and food and beverage staff regarding menu specials and stock levels. This role also includes preparing food according to strict recipes, quality standards, and presentation guidelines. - minimum 3 years of related culinary or food preparation experience

Job Duties
- Prepare special meals or substitute items
- regulate temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters
- pull food from freezer storage to thaw in the refrigerator
- ensure proper portion, arrangement, and food garnish
- maintain food logs
- monitor quality and quantity of food prepared
- communicate assistance needed during busy periods
- inform Chef of excess food items for daily specials
- inform Food & Beverage service staff of menu specials and out-of-stock items
- prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality, presentation standards, and preparation checklist
- prepare cold foods
- assist management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching employees
- follow company policies and safety and security procedures
- report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions
- complete safety training and certifications
- maintain clean and professional uniform and appearance
- protect company assets
- anticipate and address guest service needs
- communicate clearly and professionally
