Since opening in 2016, Truist Park has become a centerpiece of sports entertainment and dining, offering fans an unforgettable combination of world-class baseball and quality culinary options. Delaware North has been operating concessions, premium dining, and restaurants at this unique venue, showcasing their dedication to excellence in both food quality and customer service. Their legacy as a family-owned company with over 100 years of experience backs up their reputation and presents team members with unmatched opportunities for career growth and success in various hospitality sectors, including sports, gaming, retail, and more.
The Cook 3 position at Delaware North Sportservice offers an exciting opportunity to become a vital part of this dynamic team. As a seasonal Cook 3 at Truist Park, you will serve not only as an expert food preparer but also as a visible leader within the kitchen operations. This role emphasizes both culinary skill and management capabilities. You will partner closely with the management team to plan menus that meet high quality and taste standards, ensuring every dish delivered meets or exceeds guest expectations. Your expertise will help train and guide kitchen team members, fostering an environment of teamwork, safety, and adherence to health and sanitation codes. Operating kitchen equipment safely and efficiently is a crucial part of the job, alongside monitoring inventory, labor costs, and overhead to maintain optimal kitchen performance and profitability. Your responsibility will include reviewing menus, managing food storage and freshness, and employing waste control strategies to minimize loss and maximize resources.
The role demands a high degree of organizational and multitasking skills, as you will be conducting opening, closing, and side work duties while maintaining strict cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen. Physical requirements include the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, standing and walking throughout the shift, and working under varying temperature conditions, highlighting the fast-paced and physically demanding nature of the position. Shift work includes days, evenings, weekends, holidays, and special event schedules, requiring flexibility and commitment.
Compensation for the Cook 3 position starts at $20.55 per hour, reflecting the importance of the role and skill level required. Delaware North provides comprehensive benefits tailored to support team member well-being, including weekly pay, training and development opportunities, employee discounts, and flexible work schedules.
