Delaware North is currently hiring seasonal experienced Cooks to join their team at Truist Park in Atlanta, Georgia. This Cook 3 position is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about culinary arts and leadership within fast-paced kitchen settings. As a Cook 3, you will not only showcase your advanced cooking skills but also serve as a visible leader in the kitchen, partnering with the management team to plan menus, maintain food quality, and train kitchen staff. You will be responsible for operating kitchen equipment, upholding all health and sanitation regulations, and monitoring food quantities, labor, and overhead costs to ensure efficient and cost-effective kitchen operations.
The role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and an ability to maintain quality standards consistent with customer expectations and company policies. The work environment at Truist Park is energetic and can involve moderate to high noise levels, exposure to variable temperatures, and physical activity including lifting up to 50 pounds, standing and walking for entire shifts, and manual food preparation methods such as chopping, mixing, and blending. The Cook 3 is expected to manage opening, closing, and side work duties, perform end-of-day inventory, and use waste control guidelines effectively to minimize food spoilage.
The wage offered for this role is $20.05 per hour, reflecting the value placed on experienced culinary professionals. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum two years of experience in culinary or foodservice roles
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Capable of standing and walking throughout entire shifts
- Ability to perform manual food preparation such as chopping, mixing, blending, and whipping
- Comfortable working in variable temperature environments
- Ability to work flexible shifts including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Basic math proficiency
- Ability to follow food safety and sanitation protocols
Job Qualifications
- At least two years of previous experience in back-of-the-house foodservice positions
- Ability to read and comprehend prep sheets and recipes
- Basic math skills with ability to calculate and follow recipe measurements
- Knowledge of health codes and sanitation regulations
- Leadership skills with experience training others
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment
- Strong organizational and communication skills
Job Duties
- Review menus and customer orders to determine food preparation types and quantities, comply with portion sizes and quality standards, ensure proper food temperatures and storage, package products to specification
- Keep workstations, coolers, and equipment clean, organized, sanitized, and stocked, maintain sanitary kitchen and storage facilities
- Use waste control guidelines, record all waste on spoilage sheets
- Perform opening, closing, and side work duties
- Conduct end-of-day inventory as per guidelines
- Train kitchen team members and assist with menu planning
- Monitor labor, overhead costs, and food quality standards
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
