Job Description
McLane is a leading distribution company with over 130 years of experience in moving, supplying, and providing for America's favorite brands. Founded in 1894, we have built an expansive nationwide network of team members that serves clients across key industries including restaurant, retail, and e-commerce. Our longstanding success is defined by our commitment to reliability, dedication to safety, and our innovative approach to embracing new technologies and ongoing team member training. We pride ourselves on a people-centered culture that supports employees in building long-lasting careers with the company. We provide industry-leading pay, strong client relationships, and secure working conditions that prioritize getting our drivers home safely and more often.
The role we are offering is for a Box Truck Driver who will operate a non-CDL delivery vehicle to transport food staples and specialty products to various customer locations. This position is integral to our supply chain, ensuring timely and safe deliveries while maintaining exceptional service standards. Drivers at McLane receive a competitive pay rate of $24.75 per hour and work a set schedule, including Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday shifts with a 10:00 pm dispatch time. Along with excellent pay, drivers gain access to generous benefits starting on their 60th day of employment, such as medical, dental, and vision insurance, FSA/HSA options, and company-paid life insurance. Additionally, vacation time and sick leave begin accruing from day one, and paid holidays are available after 90 days of continued employment. Employees also become eligible for a 401(k) Profit Sharing Plan after 90 days.
This position requires an individual who is safety-focused, reliable, adaptable, and dedicated. The driver will be responsible for loading and unloading products at customer sites, documenting trip data and any delivery issues, performing warehouse duties when not delivering, and working safely to prevent injury or damage. McLane seeks drivers who meet strict driver qualifications, including valid driver's license and a clear driving record, the ability to lift packages up to 75 pounds, and the ability to understand English well enough to follow safety protocols and job instructions effectively. We provide a supportive environment with additional benefits like pet insurance, parental leave, employee assistance programs, tuition reimbursement, and employee discounts, emphasizing a robust commitment to employee wellbeing and career development.
Joining McLane means becoming part of a well-established, forward-thinking company that values its workforce and continuously seeks to improve through technology and team integration. We uphold an inclusive employment policy, considering all applicants without discrimination and adhering to compliance standards such as background checks and drug screenings. If you are driven to progress your career as a delivery driver in a stable and reputable organization, McLane offers an unmatched opportunity to do so while enjoying comprehensive benefits and a balanced work-life schedule.
