Job Requirements
- Must be interested in becoming a Class A driver at McLane
- At least 21 years of age
- Current driver’s license and acceptable driving record with two or fewer moving violations in past three years and no DWI/DUI in past five years
- DOT physical
- Ability to lift and move products and packages up to 75 pounds
- Pass pre-hire screening including background check and drug screen as applicable
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Class C driver’s license
- Commercial driving experience preferred
- Good customer service skills
- Ability to operate delivery equipment such as dollies and hand trucks
- Basic knowledge of delivery route documentation
- Ability to lift and move packages up to 75 pounds
Job Duties
- Load and unload products at customer sites using a dolly or hand truck if needed
- Document trip data receipts delivery exceptions and vehicle issues
- Perform warehouse-related duties when not making deliveries
- Work safely to prevent injury to people and damage to products
- Develop strong customer relationships through excellent service
- Operate a non-CDL box truck to deliver food staples and specialty products
- Maintain clean and serviceable delivery vehicle
