As a Fortune 500 company, Ferguson operates approximately 1,700 locations nationwide with a workforce of around 36,000 associates dedicated to building better infrastructure, homes, and businesses. The company is recognized for delivering best-in-class products, customer service, and comprehensive capabilities. Ferguson’s commitment extends beyond mere supply; it focuses on enabling its customers to complete complex projects successfully and sustainably by proactively solving problems, adapting to market changes, and fostering growth to serve communities and associates alike.
The current opportunity is for an experienced Truck Driver to join the Ferguson team. This full-time role emphasizes work-life balance by offering a schedule from Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with the possibility of overtime. Starting pay is competitive, beginning at $20 per hour or more depending on experience. The truck driving position entails delivering materials to customers, assisting with loading and unloading, and ensuring every delivery ticket matches the shipment accurately. The driver also picks up customer returns and aids warehouse operations as needed. The role demands adherence to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company safety standards, including the use of personal protective equipment such as safety harnesses rated up to 400 lbs. Ferguson values strong communication skills and a customer-focused mindset, supported by the use of basic technology like iPads for daily tasks. Importantly, the job offers the chance to be home daily without night or weekend shifts, promoting a healthy work-life balance.
Ferguson’s culture prioritizes associate well-being with a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, wellness programs, and a 401(k) retirement plan with company matching. Paid time off covers vacations, sick days, personal leave, holidays, and parental leave to ensure associates have the flexibility they need. Additional perks include safe driver incentives, hourly bonus potential, employee assistance programs, associate discounts, and opportunities for community involvement and professional growth. The company also embraces diversity, equity, and inclusion, adhering to equal employment opportunity laws and welcoming applicants from all backgrounds. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working in a supportive, team-oriented environment where safety, reliability, and customer satisfaction are top priorities. Candidates must pass pre-employment drug and background screenings. Choosing a truck driving career at Ferguson means joining a community dedicated not only to building infrastructure but also to building a rewarding and sustainable career for each associate.
