Ferguson is currently seeking to hire a dedicated professional for their Truck Driver position. This role offers a structured Monday through Friday schedule, providing a valuable work-life balance by allowing drivers to be home daily with no nights or weekends. The position starts with a competitive hourly wage of $25 or more based on experience, with additional earning potential through bonuses and incentives.

The Truck Driver’s primary responsibility is to deliver materials to customers efficiently while actively ensuring safety and compliance with all DOT standards and company policies. The role includes performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections, properly loading and unloading materials utilizing equipment such as pallet jacks and two-wheel dollies, and managing product returns for credit verification. Drivers will also assist warehouse personnel with order preparation, shipment logistics, and the receipt and stocking of incoming materials when necessary.

Job Requirements

  • Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL)
  • Minimum age of 21 years
  • Compliance with CDL qualifications
  • Adherence to department of transportation (DOT) regulations
  • Possession and maintenance of valid DOT medical card
  • Ability to lift weight up to 50 pounds
  • Understanding of warehouse operations and logistics preferred
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Basic technology proficiency including use of iPads

Job Qualifications

  • Meet and maintain qualifications for CDL requirements

  • Acquire and maintain a valid DOT medical card
  • Ability to lift items up to 50 pounds
  • Background in warehouse operations and logistics including shipping, receiving and delivery is a plus
  • Strong communication skills with a customer-focused approach
  • Able to operate and navigate basic technology including iPads

Job Duties

  • Deliver materials to the customer including using pallet jack and two-wheel dolly for loading and unloading and ensuring delivery ticket accompanies materials
  • Pick up customer returns and validate products for credit requests
  • Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip truck inspections and fuel truck as needed while reporting issues to supervisor
  • Follow and implement all company safety policies and procedures
  • Assist warehouse personnel with pulling and preparing orders for shipment as well as receiving, verifying, staging and stocking incoming materials
  • Work overtime as needed
  • Adhere to safety regulations including the proper use of personal protective equipment and wearing a safety harness with a weight capacity of 400 pounds
