Joining Ferguson as a CDL A Truck Driver means becoming an integral part of a team that supports operational efficiency by delivering critical materials reliably and safely within local areas. This role is designed for individuals seeking a truck driving career that offers the balance of being home daily with no nights or weekends, making it ideal for professionals who value stability and family time. The work schedule typically runs Monday through Friday from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM with some overtime opportunities as needed. With competitive compensation ranging from $20.22 to $32.30 per hour, plus eligible bonuses and incentives, Ferguson ensures that its drivers are rewarded for their commitment and effort. This role requires hands-on involvement with warehouse operations such as loading, unloading, and assisting in inventory management, emphasizing teamwork and adherence to safety standards. The driver will also utilize technology including iPads for efficient communication and logistics management. Job Requirements

  • Must hold a valid CDL A
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Meet and maintain qualifications for CDL requirements
  • Follow all DOT standards and regulations
  • Must currently have, acquire, and/or maintain a valid DOT Medical card in order to meet driver requirements
  • Ability to lift items that weigh up to 50lbs
  • Able to follow all safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Must be able to perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections
  • Must be willing to work Monday through Friday, 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM, with some overtime as needed
  • Ability to work in a warehouse environment and assist with various tasks
  • Must pass pre-employment drug and background screening

Job Qualifications

  • Must hold a valid CDL A
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Meet and maintain qualifications for CDL requirements
  • Follow all DOT standards and regulations
  • Must currently have, acquire, and/or maintain a valid DOT Medical card in order to meet driver requirements
  • Ability to lift items that weigh up to 50lbs
  • A background in warehouse operations and logistics, including shipping, receiving and delivery is a plus
  • Strong communicator with a customer-focused approach
  • Able to navigate and operate basic technology, including iPads

Job Duties

  • Deliver materials to the customer, utilizing pallet jack and two-wheel dolly to load and unload, and ensuring delivery of ticket with material
  • Pick up customer returns, validating product match for credit requests
  • Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections, fuel the truck as needed, and report any problems or issues to supervisor
  • Follow and implement all company safety policies and procedures
  • Assist warehouse personnel with pulling and preparing orders for shipment as needed, as well as receiving, verifying, staging and stocking incoming material
  • Ability to work overtime as needed
  • Must adhere to all safety regulations, including the correct usage of personal protective equipment (PPE), including wearing a safety harness with a maximum weight capacity of 400 lbs
