Job Description
Breakthru Beverage Group is a premier distributor of alcoholic beverages in the United States, widely recognized for its commitment to excellence and innovation. Having been voted one of the best managed companies in the United States for five consecutive years, Breakthru Beverage has established itself as a leader in the beverage distribution industry. The company operates with a focus on providing high quality products, exceptional customer service, and fostering a supportive and dynamic work environment for its employees. It serves a diverse market with a broad portfolio of both national and regional brands, ensuring that customers receive the best possible selection and service. The company’s reputation is built on strong partnerships with suppliers, customers, and employees, which enables it to maintain a competitive edge in a fast-evolving industry.
This full-time role within the Market Operations job family group involves a critical position in delivery operations management. The role requires an early start from Tuesday to Friday at 5am, reflecting the operational demands of the distribution schedule. The position offers a base salary plus a 10 percent bonus potential, along with full benefits starting within 30 days of hire, highlighting the company’s commitment to employee welfare and rewarding performance. A valid CDL-B license is mandatory, emphasizing the role’s connection to driving and fleet management responsibilities.
The primary responsibility of this job is to assist with the daily management of the delivery operations staff, playing a vital role in ensuring that the delivery team operates smoothly, efficiently, and safely. Duties include monitoring the delivery fleet using systems like MobileCast and Roadnet, managing performance actions such as hiring, disciplining, and workforce assignments, and maintaining detailed attendance records. Training drivers on safe driving techniques, proper lifting, and company delivery processes is a key part of this job, along with performing ride-alongs to observe and coach drivers on productivity, safety, and customer service standards.
Oversight of payroll elements such as attendance and paid time off, responsibility for Department of Transportation compliance including safety requirements and drug screening, and ensuring accurate verification and processing of delivery invoices also fall under this role’s purview. The position requires collaboration across sales, warehouse, delivery, and customer service departments to maintain a cohesive operational environment. In addition, managing worker’s compensation, incentive, and safety programs is part of maintaining employee welfare and regulatory compliance. Handling beverage alcohol products responsibly and fulfilling other duties as assigned by supervisors will round out the responsibilities of this role.
This role is designed for a results-oriented professional with solid communication and interpersonal skills, capable of addressing and resolving workplace issues with sound judgment and problem-solving abilities. The ability to multitask, work independently or collaboratively, and operate with a high level of detail orientation in a fast-paced, high-volume environment is essential. This position not only requires operational expertise but also a commitment to upholding the company’s high standards for safety, service, and regulatory compliance, making it a crucial role in supporting both employee performance and customer satisfaction.
