The role of Delivery Specialist at O'Reilly Auto Parts is a vital position that directly supports the company's customer service and supply chain operations. This is a full-time hourly position with a competitive pay range of $18.21 to $24.50 per hour, which meets or exceeds the required minimum wage for the job's location. In addition to the base hourly wage, the Delivery Specialist may receive additional compensation through performance-based bonuses and premiums related to schedule, facility, season, or job-specific conditions.
As a Delivery Specialist, you will be responsible for operating company vehicles safely and efficiently to deliver parts and products to professional customers. The job includes collecting payment on cash-on-delivery transactions and handling customer returns such as new, warranty, and core parts. You will use delivery fleet management handheld devices to process deliveries, obtain customer signatures, update mileage, and complete daily vehicle inspections. Maintaining vehicle cleanliness, upkeep, and security of company assets such as keys, fuel cards, handheld devices, and collected monies is critical to the role. Additionally, the Delivery Specialist will communicate customer needs or operational issues to store management promptly and report any vehicle maintenance concerns or accidents.
This position also requires occasional support in general store operations such as merchandising, stocking, customer service duties, cashiering, and running errands when business demands. Bilingual candidates, especially those fluent in Spanish, are encouraged to apply to help serve a diverse customer base effectively. - Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to adapt quickly and effectively to changing delivery situations
- Driving record must meet company’s 14/18-point record system
- Possession of a legally required state driver’s license and meeting company driving eligibility requirements

Job Duties
- Operate company vehicles to deliver parts and products to customers in a safe and efficient manner
- Use delivery fleet management hand-held devices to process deliveries, capture customer signatures, update vehicle mileage, complete daily vehicle inspections
- Keep vehicles clean, maintained, and complete daily inspections prior to operating
- Secure delivery vehicles, keys, fuel/fleet credit cards, hand-held devices, and monies collected
- Pick up customer returns and fill out driver return slips
- Communicate customer problems or special needs to store management
- Report vehicle maintenance issues, accidents, or damages immediately to store manager
- Ensure fuel tank is filled and vehicle secured at end of business day
- Clock in/out according to company policy
- Assist customers, serve as cashier, and help with merchandising tasks as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned
