Job Requirements
- Possess legally required state driver’s license
- Meet company driving eligibility requirements
- Maintain a driving record compliant with company standards
- Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal communication
- Adapt effectively to changing delivery situations
- Ability to safely operate company vehicles
- Maintain cleanliness and security of vehicles and equipment
- Able to complete daily vehicle inspections
- Secure delivery vehicles and company assets at all times
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid state driver's license meeting company driving eligibility requirements
- Clean driving record meeting company’s 14/18-point record system
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing delivery situations
- Experience with operating delivery or fleet management devices preferred
- Familiarity with automotive parts is a plus
- Ability to operate light store equipment is desirable
- Bilingual skills, especially Spanish, are highly desired
Job Duties
- Operate company vehicles to deliver parts and products to customers in a safe and efficient manner
- Use delivery fleet management hand-held devices to process deliveries, capture customer signatures, update vehicle mileage, complete daily vehicle inspections
- Keep vehicles clean and maintained, perform daily vehicle inspections prior to operating
- Secure delivery vehicles, keys, fuel/fleet credit cards, hand-held devices, and monies collected
- Pick up customer returns including new, warranty, and cores, and fill out driver return slips
- Communicate customer issues or special needs to store management
- Report vehicle maintenance needs, accidents, or damages immediately
- Ensure fuel tank is filled and secure vehicle at day’s end
- Clock in/out following company policies
- Perform additional duties including customer service, cashier tasks, merchandising, stocking, sweeping, handling core returns, running errands, and related store support
- Assist customers with sales and service tasks as needed
- Perform all other duties as assigned
