Job Requirements

  • Valid state driver's license
  • meet company mandated driving eligibility standards
  • acceptable driving record according to company 14/18-point system
  • ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences
  • strong interpersonal communication skills
  • ability to adapt effectively to changing delivery situations
  • maintain security of delivery vehicles, keys, fuel/fleet credit cards, devices, and monies
  • complete daily vehicle inspections
  • ability to operate hand-held fleet management devices
  • willingness to perform additional duties such as customer service and merchandising
  • physical ability to operate delivery vehicles safely

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • valid state driver's license meeting company driving eligibility requirements
  • ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences
  • strong interpersonal communication skills
  • ability to adapt quickly and effectively to changing delivery situations
  • familiarity with automotive parts desired
  • ability to operate light store equipment desired
  • fluency in multiple languages, especially Spanish, highly desired

Job Duties

  • Operate company vehicles to deliver parts and products to customers in a safe and efficient manner
  • use delivery fleet management hand-held devices to process deliveries, capture customer signatures, update vehicle mileage, and complete daily vehicle inspections
  • keep vehicles clean, maintained, and complete daily vehicle inspections prior to operating
  • keep delivery vehicles, keys, fuel/fleet credit cards, hand-held devices, and monies collected secure at all times
  • pick up customer returns including new, warranty, and cores, and fill out driver return slips
  • communicate customer problems or special needs to store management
  • report vehicle maintenance needs, accidents, or damage to store manager immediately
  • ensure fuel tank is filled and vehicle is locked and secured at the end of the day
  • clock in/out according to company policy
  • assist with customer service, sweeping, stocking, merchandising, running errands, handling core returns, checking in and putting up stock orders when required
  • occasionally assist customers, serve as a cashier, or help with merchandising tasks as business dictates
  • perform other duties as assigned
