The Delivery Services Manager at ABC Supply Interiors is a pivotal role within the logistics and operations team, responsible for the effective scheduling and routing of product deliveries across various construction project sites. This role requires coordination of all aspects related to the delivery fleet including ensuring that trucks are loaded correctly within weight restrictions, managing vehicle safety inspections, and overseeing timely fleet maintenance and repairs. The Delivery Services Manager ensures adherence to all applicable OSHA standards and federal road regulations to promote safety and compliance throughout delivery processes. This position also includes direct communication with customers to update them on delivery statuses and resolve any issues promptly to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction. The role demands leadership in recruiting and managing drivers and material handlers, scheduling their training, and verifying that all drivers maintain appropriate licenses and certifications. By coordinating equipment training and maintaining fleet readiness, the Delivery Services Manager helps ensure smooth operational workflows and optimal resource utilization across multiple service needs. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • proven experience in logistics or delivery services
  • knowledge of OSHA and federal road safety regulations
  • valid driver’s license
  • ability to manage and schedule multiple deliveries
  • strong organizational and communication skills
  • previous experience in fleet coordination or vehicle maintenance is desirable
  • ability to lead and manage a team of drivers and material handlers

Job Qualifications

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • proven leadership experience
  • proficient in Microsoft Office and data entry
  • ability to prioritize responsibilities and manage multiple service needs simultaneously
  • previous dispatch experience is preferred
  • mechanical knowledge is a plus

Job Duties

  • Scheduling and routing product deliveries
  • making sure trucks are not overloaded and all loads fall within standard weight limits for each vehicle
  • assessing job site delivery requirements and assigning appropriate delivery vehicles
  • resolving all vehicle safety issues by routing vehicles to the appropriate service facilities for needed repairs
  • keeping customers informed of delivery status
  • ensuring that all OSHA and federal road procedures are followed
  • participating in the hiring of drivers and material handlers as well as their performance management
  • coordinating fleet maintenance and ensuring all repairs are completed properly
  • scheduling new equipment training for drivers and ensuring they are fully certified to operate the equipment
  • ensuring that all drivers’ CDL licenses are current and informing drivers when their licenses or medical cards need to be updated
