The Delivery Driver/Warehouse team member role at Worldpac plays a critical part in ensuring the effective distribution and handling of automotive products. This position involves driving established routes to deliver products or pick up returned merchandise safely and courteously from customers. Additionally, this role encompasses all shipping and receiving functions within the branch, requiring proficiency in logistics, record-keeping, and customer service.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing delivery manifests and receiving documents, sorting and organizing merchandise by part and quantity, and ensuring that customer orders are accurately located, picked up, and signed for. The role demands a strong attention to detail, good critical thinking skills, and a commitment to safety and punctuality. Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • eligible to work within the country in which you are applying
  • must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable motor vehicle record per company standards
  • must meet all applicable state or province-specific driver’s license requirements prior to driving a company vehicle to perform delivery duties
  • reliable attendance and punctuality
  • ability and willingness to drive safely adhering to all company safety standards
  • capable of safely operating equipment such as forklift and pallet jack
  • consistent and reliable attendance
  • ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, instructions and procedure manuals
  • ability to use the computer and a handheld radio frequency device
  • effective verbal and written communication skills
  • proficient in basic math skills
  • ability and willingness to lift regularly up to 25 pounds, frequently up to 50 pounds, and occasionally up to 100 pounds
  • demonstrates respect and ability to challenge upwards with respectful pushback
  • operates safely and maintains a clean and neat work environment
  • willingness to learn new skills and gain knowledge about all aspects of branch operations

Job Qualifications

  • High school or secondary school diploma or GED equivalent
  • strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills
  • ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, instructions and procedure manuals
  • effective verbal and written communication skills
  • ability to use the computer and a handheld radio frequency device
  • proficient in basic math skills
  • excellent customer service skills with a willingness to go above and beyond
  • experience operating forklifts and pallet jacks is preferred
  • willingness to learn new skills and gain knowledge about all aspects of branch operations

Job Duties

  • Use vehicle to deliver orders or pick up returned merchandise in a safe and courteous manner
  • create and maintain records as needed
  • dispatch, confirm customer order and generate delivery manifests and receiving documents
  • sort, organize and prepare merchandise from receiving or the production areas to storage or other designated areas by part and quantity
  • ensure that customer orders are located, picked up and signed for
  • collect funds from customers if needed and maintain all necessary documents
  • perform other duties as assigned
