Job Description
DME Express is a rapidly growing medical supply company committed to delivering exceptional service and high-quality equipment to the Hospice care industry. Specializing in essential medical equipment such as wheelchairs, hospital beds, and oxygen supplies, the company prioritizes patient care and satisfaction above all. Operating with a dedication to service excellence, DME Express has earned a reputation for reliability and professionalism within the healthcare community. As a company dedicated to growth through shared values of passion and a strong work ethic, DME Express supports a collaborative work environment where employees are valued and trained to succeed.
The current opportunity within DME Express is for Delivery Drivers/Technicians who play a critical role in ensuring that medical equipment is delivered and picked up efficiently and safely. This position is designed for individuals who may not necessarily have prior experience in the field, as DME Express invests in thorough training for the right candidates. The role involves direct interactions with hospice patients and their families, requiring excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach. The Delivery Driver/Technician is responsible for determining optimal daily routes, assembling and delivering equipment, and providing proper usage instructions to patients. Emphasis is placed on adhering to all Department of Transportation (DOT) and Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, especially concerning oxygen and other medical devices.
Additional responsibilities include maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the warehouse and delivery vehicles, performing minor repairs and preventive maintenance on equipment and assigned vehicles, and acting as a positive company representative in every patient interaction. The work schedule may include weekend shifts and on-call rotations, reflecting the 24/7 operational nature of the business. This role requires physical stamina, including the ability to lift heavy equipment (up to 75 pounds), and a clean driving record. The position offers competitive hourly wages between $18-$20, commensurate with experience, alongside comprehensive benefits.
Working at DME Express means joining a passionate team dedicated to improving patient care through timely delivery of critical medical supplies. The company fosters a supportive culture that values teamwork, personal development, and a commitment to quality service. For individuals driven by a strong character and a desire to succeed in a dynamic, expanding organization, this role offers an excellent career opportunity in the healthcare logistics sector.
