As a proud member of the Pacific Coast Building Products Family of Companies, Basalite is committed to delivering high-quality products and services in the construction industry. The company has developed a strong reputation for its dedication to innovation, sustainability, and customer satisfaction, supporting both commercial and residential construction projects throughout the Western region.
Basalite is currently seeking a dedicated and reliable professional to join their team as a Truck Driver under the supervision of the Yard Superintendent. This role involves driving trucks to pick up and deliver various concrete masonry products, loading customers in the yard, and supporting the company’s core values of Integrity, Safety, Respect, Customer Focus, Quality, Innovation, and Financial Success. The position requires a keen attention to detail, a strong commitment to safety standards, and the ability to work efficiently in a physically demanding environment. The driver will be responsible for maintaining equipment, securing loads, transporting products throughout Idaho and Oregon, and managing inventory in the yard and warehouses.
This full-time role offers competitive hourly wages ranging from $22.00 to $24.00, depending on experience. In addition to salary, Basalite provides a full benefits package including medical and dental insurance, disability benefits, life insurance, a 401(k) retirement plan with profit sharing, and wellness programs. The company emphasizes a supportive work environment where safety and respect are paramount, alongside predictable and regular attendance to ensure operational effectiveness. The role demands physical stamina with responsibilities such as standing, walking, climbing, lifting up to 100 pounds, and operating mechanical equipment including forklifts and various types of trucks like flatbeds, cement trailers, and dump trucks. The Truck Driver will use electronic logs and maintain paper records, conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections, and ensure all safety compliance measures are met. The candidate must have a valid Idaho CDL driver’s license, a good driving record, and forklift certification. Good communication skills, basic math, and reading abilities are essential to perform the job duties successfully.
