The Tractor Trailer Driver position is a full-time role classified under Market Operations, offering a competitive hourly wage of $30 with overtime potential. The work schedule is structured as a four-day work week from Tuesday to Friday, with typical start times at 6 AM and occasional overnight shifts starting between 12 and 2 AM. This role is integral to Breakthru Beverage Group's supply chain operations, involving the safe and efficient transportation of products from distribution centers to customer locations using commercial tractor trailers. The successful candidate must hold a valid CDL-A license and demonstrate a history of safe driving alongside knowledge of Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
This position requires the driver to be responsible not only for transporting goods but also for loading and unloading pallets, products, and equipment in compliance with company policies and safety standards. Drivers are expected to inspect their vehicles before and after use, perform preventative maintenance, and accurately maintain logs and shipment documentation. Effective communication skills, customer service orientation, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment are essential. Additionally, the role may involve troubleshooting mechanical issues and maintaining equipment inventories. Physical demands include frequent sitting, standing, bending, climbing in and out of trucks, and lifting loads between 45-65 pounds. Safety, accountability, and adherence to regulatory standards are foundational to success in this role.

Job Requirements

Job Duties
- Determines condition of vehicle by inspecting vehicle before and after use, logging inspection, reporting requirements
- Ensures correct loading of vehicle by loading product or material, directing material handlers
- Delivers product or material to destination by identifying destination and driving the vehicle on the assigned route
- Ensures operation of equipment by completing preventative maintenance requirements, following manufacturer's instructions
- Troubleshooting malfunctions, calling for repairs, maintaining equipment inventories, evaluating new equipment and techniques
- Maintains safe vehicle and conditions and protects load by complying with organization policies and procedures and highway rules and regulations
- Conserves resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results
- Maintains records by completing driver log, obtaining shipper and receiver authorizations, filing documents
- Maintains safe work environment by following organization standards and legal requirements
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
- Other duties, as assigned by the jobholder's supervisor, may also be required
