Delivery Driver Relief

We are currently seeking a dedicated and reliable Delivery Driver Relief to join our team. This position plays a crucial role in our delivery operations by serving as the primary backup driver ready to take over any route in the absence of the assigned driver. The Delivery Driver Relief ensures that all delivery routes are covered without interruption, maintaining seamless service for our valued customers. The ideal candidate will promote a safe work environment, exemplify professional conduct, and handle all facets of the delivery process efficiently.

In this role, the Delivery Driver Relief coordinates closely with Delivery Supervisors and account managers to address any customer concerns, resolve service complaints, and identify opportunities within the market to improve delivery performance and customer satisfaction. The role requires familiarity with routes across all delivery areas and the ability to operate various delivery equipment including pallet jacks, hand trucks, dock-levelers, and trucks and trailers.

The Delivery Driver Relief is also responsible for performing routine maintenance on delivery trucks, adhering to all applicable federal, state, and local regulations including the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSR), and maintaining an impeccable driving record in accordance with company policies. Emphasis is placed on adhering to safety guidelines and company dress codes to uphold a professional appearance and a secure working environment.

This position requires continuous mental and physical attention given the nature of delivery work which involves frequent lifting, moving, and positioning of goods in a variety of challenging settings. The successful candidate must have a valid CDL-A license and possess an ABC Beer permit. Effective communication skills are essential for interacting with customers, clients, and coworkers, and the ability to perform duties with professionalism and respect is paramount.
