The role involves preparing doses for shipment, accurately delivering these medications using a company vehicle, and ensuring compliance with safety and transportation regulations. Work schedules typically require 40 hours weekly, Monday through Friday, with shifts from either 4:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. or 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with occasional requirements to work holidays, be on call, or adjust hours based on business needs. The delivery driver associate is responsible for not only transporting and delivering critical medications but also for performing essential tasks such as packaging medications according to safety standards, scanning customer orders for accuracy using handheld digital devices, processing returns, and maintaining the delivery vehicle. The job also includes minor vehicle repairs and general maintenance duties within the facility. Successful candidates must demonstrate strong customer service skills and the ability to operate vehicles safely under various weather and traffic conditions.

The role requires a candidate with at least a high school diploma or GED or equivalent experience, to have a valid driver's license, and to be comfortable working in a highly regulated nuclear pharmacy environment. Candidates must also be capable of lifting weights up to 75 pounds, as well as sitting, standing, and driving for extended periods. Given the nature of the medications involved, the role demands strict adherence to regulatory and safety protocols, the ability to learn and apply new procedures, and maintain compliance with state and federal laws.
