Job Description

Tractor Supply and Petsense by Tractor Supply are leaders in providing essential farming, agriculture, and pet-related products to a diverse customer base. Founded on a commitment to quality service and community support, Tractor Supply has grown to become a trusted retailer for rural lifestyle needs across numerous markets. The company prides itself on fostering a team-centric environment where employees are valued as the core of the company's success. With a strong focus on employee well-being, Tractor Supply and Petsense invest extensively in comprehensive benefits and reward programs to ensure the satisfaction and growth of their team members both professionally and personally.

The role of Delivery Specialist at Tractor Supply and Petsense plays a critical part in ensuring customers receive their purchased merchandise promptly and in excellent condition. This position is responsible for delivering products safely and efficiently within the assigned market, ensuring every delivery upholds the highest quality and customer service standards. The Delivery Specialist not only transports goods but also builds trusted relationships with customers by providing seasoned advice and personalized service, helping to create a Legendary Customer Experience.

In addition to the core delivery duties, this role involves operating and maintaining delivery vehicles, sometimes including trailers, conducting thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections, and managing loading and unloading processes with care and precision. Safety is paramount, and the Delivery Specialist is expected to follow all traffic laws and company policies rigorously. Problem-solving skills are essential when handling returns, exchanges, or customer inquiries, making the role dynamic and customer-facing with regular interaction both inside and outside the store environment.

A key aspect of the Delivery Specialist position is collaboration with the field sales team and store personnel to ensure that customer needs are consistently met and exceeded. The ideal candidate will have the physical stamina to manage manual tasks including moving heavy merchandise with appropriate equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts. While previous delivery experience is advantageous, the company provides support and training to equip team members with the necessary skills and knowledge.

This full-time position offers competitive compensation along with a benefits package that supports employees' health, family, and professional development. Offerings include medical, dental, and vision coverage, company-paid life and disability insurance, paid parental leave, tuition reimbursement, and family planning assistance for all full-time and eligible part-time team members. The company encourages applications from individuals ready to contribute to a fast-paced, service-oriented environment with a commitment to excellence and community values.
