The Delivery Driver (Non-CDL) role at IFS is an essential position responsible for the safe and timely delivery of goods to various client locations across Southern California. This is a union position starting at $23.83 per hour, reflecting the established union collective bargaining agreement. The successful candidate will operate and maintain delivery vehicles — specifically straight trucks (bobtail 24ft to 26ft) — while adhering strictly to safety regulations established by the Department of Transportation (DOT) and Interstate Commerce Commission (ICC). The role requires excellent organizational abilities to pick up, load, secure, transport, and unload goods. Drivers ensure accurate delivery by confirming shipment contents against manifest documents, maintaining detailed logs, and reporting any issues directly to management. The position demands proficiency with GPS and other routing software to follow predetermined routes efficiently, strong physical stamina to lift up to 50 pounds and operate equipment such as electric lifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, and dollies, and a professional attitude to remain composed under pressure. Drivers are also responsible for performing pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and maintaining a valid DOT medical card and clean driving record in compliance with company safety standards.
