DELIVERY DRIVER - NON-CDL

This position involves providing vacation and injury relief for delivery personnel responsible for delivering and stocking products at customer locations on designated routes. The role requires commitment to safe working practices and maintaining a safe work environment while ensuring all scheduled customers are serviced by the end of the shift. The position demands willingness to work beyond standard hours, including overtime, weekends, and holidays as required by business needs. It involves collecting money from customers, making change, recording transactions, and reconciling and depositing all monies collected at the end of each day. Key responsibilities include delivering, filling, merchandising, and rotating products at customer accounts, and fostering positive relationships with store management and personnel through superior customer service. This role is integral to maintaining product availability and customer satisfaction through reliable and professional delivery and stocking practices.

Working in this position requires physical stamina as it involves lifting and loading cases weighing between 20-45 pounds repeatedly over long work periods of 10-12 hours. It also includes pushing and pulling loads exceeding 800 pounds, bending, reaching, and squatting during the delivery and movement of products. The work environment includes beverage cooler conditions with temperatures ranging from 35 to 45 degrees Fahrenheit. Candidates must demonstrate regular, reliable attendance and the ability to work under minimal supervision with a high degree of integrity, dependability, initiative, and sound judgment. The role also necessitates obtaining an ABC permit to sell alcohol, which requires candidates to be at least 18 years old.

Ideal candidates bring previous experience in route delivery, direct store delivery, stocking, merchandising, or retail management. They must possess a valid driver’s license and insurance, excellent customer service skills, and strong communication and organizational abilities. A background check is mandatory.
