Job Description

Steinhafels is a well-established furniture retail company known for its commitment to quality products and exceptional customer service. Steinhafels operates with a unique approach as it is 100% employee-owned, which fosters a strong sense of community and shared success among its workforce. This employee ownership model is supported through an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP), emphasizing teamwork, respect, and a positive workplace culture. The company has earned recognition as a Top Workplace in Southeastern Wisconsin ten times, exemplifying its dedication to creating a supportive and motivating work environment. Steinhafels focuses on balancing business growth with employee well-being, creating long-term opportunities and stability for its staff.

The Delivery Driver role at Steinhafels offers a dynamic and engaging work experience ideal for individuals who enjoy being active and working in a hands-on environment. This position does not require a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), making it accessible to a broad range of candidates. Delivery drivers at Steinhafels play an essential role in the customer experience by ensuring furniture and related products are delivered safely and efficiently to customers’ homes. The company offers competitive pay starting at $19 per hour with the potential to earn tips and bonuses, with most drivers earning over $20 per hour. The work schedule promotes work-life balance by operating on a consistent 4-day work week with 10-hour shifts, including weekend availability where drivers work either Saturday or Sunday. Overtime opportunities are regularly available, allowing drivers to increase their earnings.

In this role, drivers are responsible for the safe loading, transportation, and setting up of furniture, reflecting the company’s focus on customer satisfaction and professionalism. The job requires physical stamina due to frequent lifting of furniture, and successful candidates must pass a lifting test as a condition of employment. Steinhafels provides comprehensive paid training to ensure drivers are well-prepared to meet the company’s standards and safety protocols. Beyond delivery duties, drivers contribute to maintaining the cleanliness and operational readiness of their vehicles, ensuring all deliveries are logged accurately using company-issued technology, and promptly reporting any incidents. The work demands strong attention to detail, communication skills, and a commitment to teamwork and safety. Steinhafels also offers a robust benefits package including health, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, paid holidays, retirement plans, parental leave, pet insurance, and disability and life insurance. This role is an excellent opportunity for candidates seeking a stable, rewarding job in a reputable company with a supportive workplace culture and competitive compensation.
