Job Description

HD Supply, a proud company powered by The Home Depot, stands as a leading industrial distributor in North America, delivering a broad range of products and services to professionals in maintenance, repair, and operations. With a strong commitment to quality, reliability, and customer-centric solutions, HD Supply empowers its customers to effectively maintain and improve their facilities. The company’s culture celebrates hard work, integrity, and teamwork, inspired heavily by values familiar to military service members, such as dedication, trust, and relentless focus. This culture supports not only customers but also creates supportive opportunities for associates and the communities HD Supply serves.

As a local delivery driver at HD Supply, you play a critical role in the organization’s operational success. This role requires the safe and efficient delivery of customer orders within designated service areas using company-provided or rental box trucks, which come equipped with lift gates to facilitate safer and easier loading and unloading. You'll interact directly with customers, offering excellent customer service and handling any order or delivery issues that arise, thereby reinforcing HD Supply's reputation as a trusted partner in the industry. The role operates principally on local routes, Monday through Friday, and avoids weekend work, offering a balanced schedule that supports work-life balance.

This position involves critical responsibilities such as reviewing order manifests, ensuring accuracy and completeness, maintaining delivery records in line with company policies, and conducting thorough pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections compliant with Department of Transportation standards. The role also requires attention to safety and regulatory compliance, continuous communication with distribution centers to manage delivery updates, and routine interaction with customers to provide real-time delivery status. HD Supply values and rewards experienced drivers who have a clean driving record, emphasizing safety performance and adherence to policies.

In addition to a competitive pay structure that is not based on stops or daily metrics, HD Supply offers a robust set of benefits including eligibility for medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and 401(k) plans after 90 days. Drivers benefit from well-maintained vehicles, ongoing opportunities for professional growth, and more than 30 benefit resources. This comprehensive compensation and benefits package reflects HD Supply’s commitment to associate wellbeing and career advancement. The company actively fosters an inclusive, equitable workplace and is an Equal Opportunity Employer, welcoming diverse applications without regard to race, color, religion, sex, or other protected characteristics.
