Job Description

American Tire Distributors is a leading distributor in the automotive aftermarket industry, specializing in tire and wheel products and services. With a reputation for excellence and a broad network of customers and partners, the company provides high-quality products and efficient distribution solutions that meet the needs of businesses across the nation. Focused on innovation, customer satisfaction, and employee development, American Tire Distributors has established itself as an industry leader dedicated to fostering long-term relationships and supporting the growth of its employees.

The Delivery Driver (non-CDL) role at American Tire Distributors is pivotal to ensuring that products reach customers on time and in excellent condition. This position is designed for individuals who value customer service, safety, and professionalism. As a Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for the timely transportation of products from the company’s distribution facilities to customers’ locations. You will play a direct role in maintaining customer satisfaction through efficient deliveries and professional interaction.

In this role, you will assist in verifying outgoing and incoming products to ensure accuracy related to size, amount, and type. You will also collect payments, unload cargo, and stage products at the customer’s place of business. Maintaining complete and accurate administrative paperwork accompanying the deliveries is essential to comply with company and regulatory standards. This job requires a high level of professionalism and customer service skills, as you will be the face of American Tire Distributors in all interactions with customers.

Safety compliance is critical in this position. You will be expected to abide by all company safety policies and state and federal transportation regulations. This includes maintaining driver logs, fuel purchase records, mileage documentation, and other records necessary for legal and policy compliance. Additionally, you may be required to operate powered industrial vehicles such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and order pickers, so familiarity with such equipment is beneficial.

The role demands physical stamina, as it involves lifting products weighing up to 50 pounds and occasionally more in team lifting situations. The work environment can expose you to various weather conditions and require significant travel, about 75% of the time, though no overnight stays for non-CDL drivers. Attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to navigate complex customer service scenarios are key competencies for successful performance.

American Tire Distributors is committed to providing a supportive and inclusive workplace. As a member of their team, you will be part of a collaborative culture that values innovation and dedication. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals looking to build a challenging and rewarding career in distribution and logistics within a well-established company dedicated to its employees and customers.
