We are currently seeking a Delivery Driver to join our growing team. This role is vital in ensuring safe and timely delivery of home medical equipment directly to patients. The Delivery Driver is responsible not only for transporting equipment but also for setting up devices and providing patient education on proper equipment use. Success in this role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety and transportation laws, excellent communication skills, and the ability to interact positively with patients and internal teams. The Delivery Driver will follow assigned routes and schedules while maintaining the cleanliness and organization of their delivery vehicle and warehouse, always upholding FDA protocols. This position also requires flexibility to participate in an on-call rotation during evening and weekend hours to respond to patient medical emergencies in accordance with company and local policies. The ideal candidate will be experienced in professional driving, have a valid driver’s license for the appropriate vehicle class, and possess strong customer service skills. Physical demands include lifting over 50 pounds independently and maneuvering equipment within restricted spaces. Job Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Meets all physical requirements related to DOT and FMCSA regulations
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum one year of experience in professional driving role or equivalent position
  • Non-CDL drivers must be 18 or older
  • CDL drivers must be 21 or older
  • Must be good with people with excellent speaking and writing skills
  • Ability to maintain a valid driver’s license for appropriate vehicle class
  • Ability to read and understand DOT and FDA required paperwork
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Basic computer knowledge
  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds independently
  • Ability to lift over 50 pounds with assistance
  • Ability to maneuver in restricted spaces efficiently
  • Must be able to perform physical actions such as straight pulling, hand over hand pulling, reaching overhead, fine finger manipulation, and repeated bending

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Minimum one year of experience in professional driving role or equivalent position
  • Home care or health care background is a plus
  • Must be good with people with excellent speaking and writing skills
  • Must maintain a valid driver’s license for appropriate class of vehicle driven
  • Ability to read and understand DOT and FDA required paperwork
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Basic computer knowledge
  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds by oneself
  • Ability to lift excess of 50lbs with mechanical or employee assistance
  • Ability to maneuver often in restricted spaces
  • Ability to perform physical actions including straight pulling, pulling hand over hand, reaching above the shoulder, use of fingers/fine manipulation, repeated bending
  • Utilize hands, legs, and eyes for operating vehicle
  • Use depth perception
  • Ability to lift up to 15lbs above the shoulder while loading and unloading

Job Duties

  • Follow complete patient orientation checklists during delivery and training
  • Adhere to assigned routes and schedules
  • Abide by all transportation laws and maintain a safe driving record
  • Inspect and maintain company-provided delivery vehicle, ensuring safety during the loading and unloading process
  • Establish and maintain outstanding relations with patients and internal team members
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of delivery vehicle and warehouse, adhering to all FDA protocols
  • Work on-call rotation during evening and weekend hours to address any patient medical emergencies in accordance with company and local policies
