The role of Tractor Trailer Driver at Kentucky Eagle is a full-time position that is vital to the company's day-to-day operations and continued success. This role involves operating a tractor-trailer truck to deliver products to various accounts on assigned daily routes, playing a key part in maintaining customer satisfaction and company reputation. The driver is expected to verify truck inventory, safely operate vehicles in accordance with federal regulations, and establish positive relationships with retailers and customers. Attention to vehicle maintenance and safety inspections is critical, ensuring compliance with Federal Motor Carrier Inspection requirements.
In addition to delivery duties, the driver will be responsible for collecting payments, balancing cash at the end of each day, unloading customer orders, and properly stocking displays and coolers at retail locations. This role requires physical stamina and the ability to perform repetitive lifting and use equipment such as two-wheel carts and pallet jacks. Operating handheld computers and printers is also part of the job, streamlining the delivery and inventory tracking process. The successful candidate will represent Kentucky Eagle professionally, maintaining the appearance and condition of the truck and adhering to company standards in product handling and rotation.

Job Requirements
- Must have a CDL Class A in good standing with a driving record acceptable to insurance carrier
- HS diploma or GED equivalent
- Must be able to operate handheld computer and printer
- Must be able to sit, stand, walk, climb, squat, bend and twist
- Must be able to do repetitive lifting up to 35 pounds and be able to lift up to 160 pounds
- Must be able to use a two wheel cart, pallet jack and other equipment in the course of job duties
Job Qualifications
- CDL Class A in good standing with a driving record acceptable to insurance carrier
- HS diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to operate handheld computer and printer
- Experience with touch freight preferred
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, climb, squat, bend and twist
- Ability to do repetitive lifting up to 35 pounds and be able to lift up to 160 pounds
- Ability to use a two wheel cart, pallet jack and other equipment in the course of job duties
Job Duties
- Verification of truck inventory in the morning and at truck check-in at end of day
- Responsible for collecting checks for delivery and balancing cash at check-in at end of day
- Daily check of truck mechanics and condition before leaving warehouse
- Must perform a pre and post trip inspection of the delivery vehicle pursuant to Federal Motor Carrier Inspection requirements
- Must operate the truck safely and within established guidelines
- Must report any problems, maintenance issues with the delivery vehicle to Operation Supervisor
- Must maintain appearance of truck as it is representative of Kentucky Eagle
- Responsible for unloading customer orders from truck and stocking displays, shelves and cooler at customer locations
- Responsible for product rotation within company and supplier guidelines
- Deliver and hang of signage as requested
- Other duties as requested or assigned by management
