As a Delivery Driver at Limehouse Produce, the primary responsibility is to guarantee that produce, dairy, and dry goods are delivered efficiently to meet or exceed customer expectations. This role involves not only transporting products but also serving as a key representative of the company, maintaining communication between customers and internal departments like Transportation Managers and Customer Care. Operating company vehicles safely and reporting maintenance issues are critical components of the position, ensuring both compliance and vehicle longevity.

The role requires a start time of 4am from Monday through Saturday, reflecting the commitment to timely deliveries early in the day. Daily tasks include performing deliveries, pickups, and returns to/from customers and suppliers. The Delivery Driver uses technology such as Omnitracs and an iPhone to review routes and log activities, ensuring routes are completed as assigned. Attention to detail is essential when reviewing paperwork and verifying customer orders for accuracy before delivery. Drivers are responsible for interacting with customers during order verification, obtaining signatures, and handling any cash-on-delivery payments.

Additionally, the Delivery Driver supports Warehouse and Customer Care departments by assisting with loading shorted products or adjusting deliveries as necessary. Quick communication regarding any delays, shortages, or quality concerns is imperative to uphold customer satisfaction and allow for timely resolutions. The role also includes organizational responsibilities such as completing and turning in all paperwork and balancing collected payments.

Maintaining cleanliness and order of the delivery vehicle is part of the daily routine, ensuring all equipment is well cared for. Depending on volume and demand, a Delivery Driver may handle multiple routes daily, requiring strong time management and organizational abilities. The flexibility and thoroughness in completing additional delivery-related duties on various schedules contribute to the overall efficiency of the delivery operations.
