The role of Delivery Driver at Sherwin-Williams Store #7720 based in Waco, TX, is a critical position responsible for ensuring that customer orders are delivered accurately, safely, and on time. This position requires a reliable individual who will operate box and flat-bed trucks to transport products directly from Sherwin-Williams stores to the customers’ locations. Job Requirements

  • Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future
  • Must have a valid, unrestricted Driver's License
  • Must have a valid Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC) from a Department of Transportation (DOT) licensed medical examiner or be willing to obtain one within five business days of receiving a conditional offer of employment
  • Must be able to retrieve material from shelves and floor stacks and lift and carry up to 50 lbs frequently and up to 70 lbs on occasion
  • Must be willing to work all scheduled hours, which may include evenings and weekends
  • Must read and speak the English language sufficiently to converse with the general public, to understand highway traffic signs and signals, to respond to official inquiries, and to make entries on reports and records

Job Qualifications

  • Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age

  • Have at least a High School diploma or GED (preferred)
  • Have at least one (1) year of experience working as a delivery driver (preferred)
  • Have at least one (1) year of work experience using material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and order pickers (preferred)
  • Previous experience selling paint and paint-related products (preferred)
  • Ability to communicate in more than one language, especially Spanish (preferred)

Job Duties

  • Ensure deliveries are prepared to meet customer requirements in the most efficient manner
  • Load customer orders properly on the truck
  • Ensure appropriate forms are completed
  • Load, transport, and deliver items to customers in a safe, timely manner
  • Maintain the store vehicle and alert the supervisor to repair and servicing needs
  • Provide excellent customer service, answer questions, and handle complaints from customers
  • Adhere to assigned routes and following time schedules
  • Abide by all transportation laws and maintain a safe driving record
  • Prepare reports and other documents relating to deliveries
  • Operate equipment and machines, such as cars, trucks, forklifts, etc.
  • Perform other tasks in the store, including warehouse duties, tinting, and mixing customer orders and waiting on customers
