Sherwin-Williams is a leading global manufacturer of paints, coatings, and related products dedicated to inspiring and improving the world by coloring and protecting what matters. With a rich legacy dating back over a century, Sherwin-Williams serves professionals and do-it-yourself customers through a vast network of company-operated stores, distribution centers, and facilities. The company’s unwavering commitment to quality, innovation, and customer service has established it as a trusted name in the coatings industry. Sherwin-Williams is driven by its purpose to enhance spaces and places, making them brighter and stronger, with products that meet a wide variety of industrial, commercial, residential, and specialty needs. Employees at Sherwin-Williams benefit from a supportive culture that emphasizes life, career, and connection through rewards, flexible work arrangements, opportunities for growth, and inclusive teams.
This position is based at Sherwin-Williams Store #7401 located in Amarillo, Texas. The role is that of a Delivery Driver responsible for ensuring that products purchased from Sherwin-Williams stores are delivered to customers safely, accurately, and efficiently. Delivery Drivers use box trucks and flat-bed trucks to transport a wide range of paint and coating products as well as related merchandise. This role requires careful attention to product packing and preparation, adherence to safety and transportation regulations, and excellent customer service skills. Drivers play a critical role in the customer experience by ensuring orders arrive complete and intact, handling inquiries, and resolving concerns during delivery.
The Delivery Driver will also be expected to maintain the assigned delivery vehicle, perform basic warehouse and store tasks such as tinting, mixing customer orders, and occasionally operating material handling equipment like forklifts and pallet jacks. The position requires compliance with all applicable transportation laws and company policies to ensure the safe, timely, and professional fulfillment of deliveries.
Candidates must be at least 21 years old and legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship. A valid and unrestricted driver's license, along with a Medical Examiner’s Certificate (DOT certified or willingness to obtain it promptly), is mandatory. The role can include evening and weekend shifts with physical demands such as lifting items up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 70 pounds occasionally.
Sherwin-Williams offers a supportive onboarding process with an online application, digital interviews, and in-store interviews. The company provides a comprehensive package of world-class benefits encompassing health, retirement, well-being, and more. Sherwin-Williams is committed to diversity, inclusion, and equal opportunity employment, ensuring that candidates from all backgrounds receive fair consideration. As part of its ethical approach, the company conducts criminal background checks to protect its customers, employees, and reputation.
This job offers a unique opportunity for individuals who enjoy a dynamic work environment that combines driving, customer interaction, product handling, and teamwork. It is ideal for candidates eager to contribute to a respected brand while developing their career in delivery and logistics services within the retail paint and coatings sector. The wage for this role reflects the applicant’s experience and qualifications and is competitive within the market. Sherwin-Williams emphasizes safety, quality service, and employee growth throughout this position.
