Delivery Drivers are the face of Thistle at the doorstep, embodying the company’s commitment to quality service, reliability, and care. Drivers utilize mobile technology and a dedicated delivery app to navigate efficient routes, follow specific customer instructions, and manage meal return logistics. Earnings for this position start at a competitive $20.00 per hour, with the opportunity to increase earnings through a wage escalator based on delivery volume and hours worked, offering up to $2.00 more per hour. Additionally, drivers receive tips averaging between $1.00 and $3.00 per hour, a cell phone reimbursement at $0.25 per hour, and mileage reimbursement at $0.725 per mile. Based on an average delivery pace of 4.5 stops per hour and 4 miles per delivery, the total compensation can reach approximately $34.03 to $38.03 per hour including tips and escalators. Payment is processed biweekly, and drivers have the option to access their wages early through Tapcheck, a service that deposits earnings onto a debit card within 24 hours post-shift.

Drivers are expected to arrive promptly at the assigned Thistle location with full preparedness, including a charged smartphone, sufficient fuel, and a well-maintained vehicle capable of carrying multiple meal bags. The role requires verifying the order contents before departure, collecting and returning reusable packaging items, and maintaining effective communication with the dispatch team to facilitate smooth delivery operations. Thistle values flexibility in scheduling, expecting drivers to work varied hours including evenings, early mornings, weekends, and holidays. This position also involves physical activity such as lifting or carrying items up to 50 pounds, underscoring the need for candidates to have a reasonable level of physical fitness.
