The Delivery Driver role within Omnicare Pharmacy, a CVS Health division dedicated to providing specialized pharmacy services, offers a unique opportunity to join a mission-driven team in the healthcare industry. As a Delivery Driver, you will play a critical role in ensuring timely and accurate delivery of medications, medical equipment, products, and supplies to long-term care facilities and patients' homes. Working with a company vehicle and on predetermined routes, you will be responsible for maintaining compliance with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations, while also upholding the highest professional and ethical standards.

This full-time position offers a competitive salary range of $16.00 to $31.46 hourly, reflecting factors such as experience, education, and location. In addition to operational responsibilities, Omnicare Delivery Drivers are also custodians of patient confidentiality, adhering closely to HIPAA regulations and other applicable legal mandates. The role requires a strong customer service mindset to effectively manage routine pharmacy tasks and ensure customer satisfaction with prompt, safe, and accurate prescriptions. While prior professional driving experience is not mandatory, candidates with backgrounds as limo drivers, taxi or bus drivers, couriers, or gig economy workers are encouraged to apply.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Previous driving experience encouraged though not required
  • Valid driver’s license for vehicle operation
  • Ability to drive long periods
  • Flexibility to work nights and weekends
  • Knowledge of service area geography

Job Duties

  • Provide timely and accurate delivery of medication, equipment, products and/or supplies into long term care facilities or patient’s homes
  • Load products/materials
  • Responsible for vehicle maintenance and alerting management for maintenance issues
  • Maintain full compliance with all Federal, State and Local laws and regulations
  • Maintain highest professional and ethical standards
  • Follow all applicable government regulations including HIPAA to ensure patient confidentiality
