The Delivery Specialist role plays a crucial part in the customer experience at Tractor Supply and Petsense by Tractor Supply. Operational duties include loading, unloading, and organizing products carefully and efficiently, performing pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to guarantee safety, and maintaining accurate delivery records. Customer communication is also a key component, with need to provide updates and address concerns promptly and courteously. Partnership with field sales teams and store personnel enhances the ability to meet customer needs fully. The role demands compliance with traffic laws and company policies to ensure safety during driving and delivery operations. This is a professional position requiring a minimum high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver's license with a clean record, and at least three years of driving experience. Candidates must also meet medical and motor vehicle record (MVR) check requirements. Experience operating hand trucks, dollies, pallet jacks, and forklifts is preferred but not mandatory. Physical stamina and the ability to safely handle and move heavy merchandise up to 2,000 pounds with proper equipment are essential. The candidate must be adept at using Microsoft Outlook and Outlook Calendar and able to navigate using GPS and maps to ensure timely deliveries. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends, is required.

Working conditions include operating near mechanical equipment and providing deliveries in varying weather and road situations. The physical demands involve sitting, standing, walking, kneeling, bending, lifting over 50 pounds, driving, and reaching overhead.
