Job Description

The company is a privately owned business contracted with FedEx Corporation, specifically operating out of the FedEx terminal located in Quincy, Massachusetts. This company specializes in local delivery and pickup of packages within the Metropolitan Boston area. Known for providing reliable and efficient delivery services, the company plays a vital role in the logistics and supply chain network supporting FedEx's operations in this highly urban environment. Operating as a third-party contractor, the company maintains high service standards in collaboration with FedEx, ensuring timely deliveries to a wide range of customers, including local businesses and residential clients. This company culture values reliability, hard work, and dedication, fostering a dynamic work environment for its employees.

We are currently seeking full-time Delivery Drivers to join our team. This role involves delivering and picking up packages across a demanding metropolitan route in Boston. Promise to those willing to join this fast-paced and challenging role is the opportunity to work in a physically demanding but rewarding job that requires a high level of responsibility and effort. Drivers are compensated per stop, earning approximately 1.50 USD per stop, which can equate to about 220 USD or more per day depending on the productivity and route. Workers receive weekly pay through direct deposit, as well as the prospect of performance bonuses, making this an attractive position for motivated individuals.

This role demands physical strength due to handling large or heavy packages, sometimes weighing up to 150 lbs, often with the assistance of a hand truck. Drivers are expected to navigate stairs and work in all weather conditions, reflecting the nature of urban package delivery work. Weekend working hours are occasional but the standard schedule is five days a week, Monday through Friday. To support employees, the company provides uniforms and one week of paid time off after three full months of employment.

Additionally, there is an opportunity for a combined Delivery Driver and Mechanic position based in Wilmington and Quincy with a daily pay of 300 USD. This role includes responsibilities for both delivery and mechanical tasks, requiring flexibility and regular travel between the two locations. Both positions require strong communication skills, computer literacy for smartphone use related to GPS and job communication, and adherence to safety and vehicle maintenance protocols.

Overall, this company offers rewarding career opportunities for individuals looking to be part of a trusted delivery network associated with a major brand like FedEx. With competitive pay, bonuses, and benefits like paid time off and uniform provision, it provides a stable and engaging full-time work environment. Candidates passionate about providing excellent delivery services and working in an active, urban setting will find this role fulfilling and professionally satisfying.
