The Delivery Driver role (Class A or B CDL) based in Brush Prairie, WA, offers an exciting opportunity to join Airgas's dedicated team. This position is a full-time role with competitive compensation ranging from $30 to $35 per hour, working Monday to Friday from 5 a.m. to 4 p.m. The role is crucial in ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient delivery operations while supporting customer satisfaction and internal logistics.
As a Delivery Driver at Airgas, you will be responsible for maintaining safety and vehicle compliance, such as upholding a clean driving record, conducting mandatory pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, and adhering to all Department of Transportation regulations, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Your responsibilities will extend to loading and unloading service trucks, performing scheduled and emergency deliveries, managing load documents, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Administrative duties will include maintaining up-to-date records, identifying potential issues with cylinders, processing customer payments, and collaborating with warehouse personnel for order fulfillment.
The role also demands providing excellent customer service by supporting both internal and external customers with inventory and delivery needs. Some flexibility is required, as occasional mandatory overtime, weekend, and holiday on-call duties may be necessary. Job Requirements
- valid Class A or B CDL with HAZMAT and airbrake endorsements
- have HAZMAT endorsement (mandatory)
- maintain appropriate driver’s license, medical card and endorsements
- no more than two traffic convictions or two at-fault accidents in last 3 years or combination of one conviction and one at-fault accident
- no driving under influence of alcohol or controlled substances in last seven years
- able to work in a drug-free environment
- able to regularly lift 75lbs and move more than 125lbs with material handling equipment
- at least one year of CDL driving experience in last five years or proof of trucking school completion in last 12 months
Job Qualifications
- valid Class A or B CDL with HAZMAT and airbrake endorsements
- maintain appropriate driver’s license, medical card and endorsements
- maximum two traffic convictions or two at-fault accidents in the last three years or a combination of one traffic conviction and one at-fault accident
- no driving under the influence of alcohol or controlled substances within last seven years
- ability to work in a drug-free environment
- capable of regularly lifting 75lbs and moving more than 125lbs with material handling equipment
- minimum one year of CDL driving experience in the last five years or provide proof of trucking school completion in last 12 months
- forklift experience preferred
