With a steadfast commitment to growth, inclusivity, and safety, Core-Mark embodies a culture that values rewards, recognition, and respect, creating an environment where employees are encouraged to develop their careers while contributing to the vital food distribution system of America.

The Transportation position based in Fresno, California, offers competitive pay starting at $25.50 per hour with additional benefits starting from day one, including health and wellness programs, 401K employer matching, employee stock purchase plans, education assistance, and paid time off. This role is pivotal in ensuring the timely and safe delivery of goods, supporting the company's mission to maintain seamless distribution within the industry. The position operates on a Monday to Friday schedule from 2:00 AM to 12:00 PM, making it suitable for individuals looking for consistent weekday work hours.

As a Commercial Driver, you will be entrusted with the operational responsibility of delivering trailers according to a predetermined route schedule, adhering strictly to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, and maintaining company safety standards. You will manage route paperwork, perform hook/unhook procedures, park and store equipment securely, and handle damaged goods and customer returns efficiently.

The pay structure includes training pay at $23.50 per hour, with compensation based on stops, loads, and miles once training is completed. Entry-level drivers have the potential to earn up to $85,000 in their first year, reflecting the company's emphasis on rewarding performance and dedication. The job's nature demands physical aptitude, including hand-lifting and the use of equipment like two-wheelers and lift gates to move product cases typically weighing between 60 to 90 pounds.

This role is designed for individuals who bring a high school diploma or GED, hold a valid CDL A license, have at least six months of commercial driving experience, and can meet all state and federal requirements, including a clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for the past three years. Additionally, candidates must be at least 21 years old and capable of passing pre-employment drug and road tests. A current DOT Health Card or the ability to obtain one is required. Preferred candidates possess additional experience in commercial driving, familiarity with the foodservice distribution industry, and proficiency with onboard computers and handheld point of delivery scanning systems.

Joining Core-Mark means becoming part of a company that values equal opportunity employment. Employees thrive in a safe and supportive environment where their contributions directly impact America's food distribution network.
