Job Requirements
- High school diploma/GED or equivalent experience
- Valid CDL-A must be 21+ years of age
- 6+ months of CMV experience
- Meet all state licensing and/or certification requirements
- Clean motor vehicle report for past 3 years
- Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check
- Pass road test
- Attains or has valid current DOT health card and/or able to secure new DOT health card
- Able to hand-lift and use two-wheeler, lift gate, or other equipment to move product cases/freight
- Product weight generally ranges between 10-35 pounds and up to approximately 60-90 pounds depending on location
Job Qualifications

- Clean Motor Vehicle Report for past 3 years

- Able to hand-lift and use equipment to move product cases varying in weight
- Preferred: 6+ months route delivery experience in a CMV
- Preferred: 1+ years foodservice distribution industry experience
- Preferred: Experience with onboard computers and electronic logs
- Preferred: Experience with handheld point of delivery scanning system
- Preferred: Customer service-related work experience
Job Duties
- Perform all required safety checks including pre/post trip inspections of tractor/truck and trailer according to DOT regulations
- Report all safety issues and/or repairs required
- Follow all DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines and policies
- Immediately report all safety hazards
- Inspect trailer for properly loaded and secured freight
- Perform count check of items and check customer invoices of products loaded
- Complete all required paperwork associated with freight accurately and legibly
- Move tractor to loading dock and attach preloaded trailer as needed
- Drive to deliver customer orders according to predetermined route delivery schedule
- Unload products from trailer and transport items into designated customer storage areas
- Perform damage control checks on items, scan, and contact supervisor about removing orders per company policy
- Verify delivery of items with customer and obtain proper signatures
- Collect money where required
- Load customer returns onto trailer and secure trailer doors
- Ensure tractor, trailer, and freight are appropriately locked and secured
- Unload damaged goods and customer returns, complete necessary paperwork
- Perform daily record of hours of service and enter logs per Federal DOT, state, and company requirements
- Perform general housekeeping duties in tractor, loading dock, and keep trailers clean
- Perform other related duties as assigned
