The Driver role at Core-Mark is vital to supporting the food supply chain across the nation. As a food and food service delivery driver, you become the essential link that ensures timely and safe transportation of food products to customers. The work schedule is Monday through Friday with early morning dispatching times between 3:00 AM and 5:00 AM, reflecting the nature of the logistics and delivery industry.

Responsibilities encompass operating tractor-trailers or straight trucks across intrastate and interstate routes, including over-the-road, local, shuttle, and overnight shifts. The driver is accountable for following all Department of Transportation regulations and company safety standards, performing pre and post-trip inspections, reporting safety issues, and ensuring cargo is properly loaded, secured, and delivered. The role includes verifying deliveries, completing necessary paperwork, and collecting payments when required. Drivers are expected to maintain the cleanliness and security of their vehicles and trailers and to participate fully as team members within their departments. Physical demands such as lifting product cases that can weigh between 10 to 90 pounds and using equipment like two-wheelers and lift gates are part of daily tasks. This position requires maintaining thorough documentation, including hours of service logs, in compliance with federal and state regulations.
