Job Description
Core-Mark, a Performance Food Group Company, is a prominent leader in the food and beverage distribution industry, consistently recognized as a Fortune 150 company. With a strong presence across the U.S. and Canada, Core-Mark specializes in delivering fresh and broad-line solutions to the convenience retail sector. The company has built a reputation for empowering its customers, employees, and communities, achieving over $23 billion in revenue through a network of efficient distribution centers. Core-Mark is dedicated to providing an inclusive work environment that champions diversity, equal opportunity, and career growth for all its team members. Its corporate culture is built on safety, respect, and recognition, creating a workplace where employees can thrive.
We are currently seeking experienced Delivery Drivers to join our dynamic team in supporting America’s food distribution system. This full-time position offers a competitive hourly wage with a weekly average base pay of $1500 plus an additional $375 weekly bonus potential. Drivers operate primarily Monday through Friday with dispatch times from 3:00 AM to 5:00 AM, making essential deliveries of food and food-related products. As a Delivery Driver, you will be an important link in the country’s food supply chain, ensuring that products arrive at customer destinations safely, on time, and in excellent condition. Beyond just delivery, drivers serve as the company's frontline representatives, building lasting professional relationships with customers through exceptional service. This role requires adherence to Department of Transportation regulations, consistent communication with customers and team members, and a commitment to safety and operational excellence.
The day-to-day responsibilities include performing pre- and post-trip safety inspections of the tractor-trailer or straight truck in compliance with DOT standards, reporting any safety or maintenance issues promptly, and ensuring freight is properly loaded, secured, and documented. Drivers will manage invoice accuracy, operate vehicle equipment such as lift gates or two-wheelers, and handle the loading and unloading of product cases, some weighing between 10 to 90 pounds depending on the location. Thorough record-keeping including daily logs of hours worked in accordance with federal, state, and company requirements, as well as general housekeeping duties to maintain cleanliness and safety of equipment and trailer spaces, are also vital to ensuring smooth operational flow.
This career opportunity is perfect for motivated individuals with a valid CDL-A license, clean driving records, and at least six months of experience driving tractor-trailers. Core-Mark supports employees with extensive benefits starting on day one, including health and wellness programs, a 401K plan with employer matching, employee stock purchase plan, education assistance, and paid time off. We emphasize a safe and supportive working environment with opportunities for career advancement within a growing industry. Join Core-Mark and help deliver the goods across America while building a rewarding and stable career.
