Core-Mark is currently hiring Food and Food Service Delivery Drivers, who play a critical role in ensuring that the nation's food supply chain operates smoothly. As the face of the company to customers, delivery drivers are responsible for transporting food and food-related products safely and on time. This role is not only about driving but also about building lasting relationships with customers through professionalism and timely service. Drivers will operate tractor-trailers or straight trucks on various routes, including intrastate, interstate local, over-the-road (OTR), shuttle, overnight, and drive-and-drop deliveries. They are expected to comply with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company policies to maintain the safety and quality of goods during transit.
The typical work schedule is Monday through Friday with early dispatching times from 3:00 AM to 5:00 AM. The position offers competitive compensation, including an average weekly base pay of $1500 plus up to $375 weekly bonus potential. Job Requirements
- 6 plus months of experience driving tractor trailer
- Valid CDL-A license
- Meet all state licensing and/or certification requirements where applicable
- Clean motor vehicle report for past 3 years
- Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check
- Pass road test
- Attains or has valid current DOT health card and/or able to secure new DOT health card
- Able to hand-lift and utilize two-wheeler, lift gate and/or other equipment to move and/or stack product cases/freight of varying size and weight throughout shift
- Product generally ranges from between 10-35 pounds and up to between approximately 60 and 90 pounds depending on location
Job Qualifications
- 6 plus months of experience driving tractor trailer

- Pass road test
- Attain or have valid current DOT Health Card and/or able to secure new DOT Health Card
- Able to hand-lift and utilize two-wheeler, lift gate and/or other equipment to move and/or stack product cases/freight of varying size and weight
Job Duties
- Perform all required safety checks including pre/post trip inspections of tractor/truck and trailer according to DOT regulations
- Inspect tractor/truck and trailer to ensure they meet company safety standards and take appropriate action as needed
- Report all safety issues and/or repairs required
- Follow all DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines and policies
- Immediately report all safety hazards
- Inspect trailer for properly loaded and secured freight
- Perform count check of items and check customer invoices of products that have been loaded
- Check and complete all required paperwork associated with freight accurately and legibly
- Move tractor to the loading dock and attach the preloaded trailer as needed
- Drive to and deliver customer orders according to predetermined route delivery schedule
- Unload products from the trailer and transport items into designated customer storage areas
- Perform damage control checks on items, scan, and contact supervisor about removing orders according to company policy
- Verify delivery of items with customer and obtain proper signatures
- Collect money where required
- Load customer returns on to trailer and secure trailer doors
- Ensure tractor, trailer, and freight are appropriately locked and/or always secured
- Unload damaged goods and customer returns and bring to the driver check-in and complete necessary paperwork
- Unload all equipment, materials and remove trash from trailers as required
- Complete daily record of hours of service and enter in log in accordance with Federal DOT, state, and company requirements
- Perform general housekeeping duties in tractor, loading dock area and keep trailers clear and clean as required
- Secure all equipment and complete all necessary paperwork at the end of the shift
- Perform other related duties as assigned
