Employees enjoy competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits from day one, including health and wellness programs, a stock purchase plan, 401K employer matching, and education assistance. The company also commits to growth and career advancement opportunities, empowering employees to contribute to essential services that support the food industry nationwide.

The position available is an Entry Level Driver Trainee role aimed at individuals eager to start a career in commercial driving within the foodservice distribution sector. With an average annual pay ranging from $80,000 to $90,000, this Monday through Friday position offers the advantage of being home daily. Additionally, there is a sign-on bonus of $500 per week for the first 30 weeks, underlining the company’s investment in new talent. The role is crucial in safely delivering food and related products using tractor trailers or straight trucks in intrastate and interstate routes, including local deliveries, over-the-road (OTR), shuttle, and overnight trips.

As a Driver Trainee, the individual will undergo comprehensive training, which includes participation in PFG’s Entry Level Driver Trainee or Dock to Driver Training Program. The role involves assisting and learning from experienced driver trainers, performing safety checks, and following all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company safety policies. Responsibilities include inspecting freight, ensuring cargo is properly loaded and secured, accurately completing delivery paperwork, unloading products, verifying deliveries with customers, and maintaining the cleanliness and security of equipment. The Driver Trainee will also handle customer returns, interact professionally with customers and team members, and maintain logs in compliance with federal and company regulations.

This position is designed to provide practical, hands-on experience in a supportive environment that values teamwork and operational excellence.
