Core-Mark is a leading distributor in the convenience retail industry, renowned for its comprehensive fresh and broadline solutions. As the largest marketer of consumer goods across North America, Core-Mark serves convenience operators in both the United States and Canada with a wide array of products, programs, and solutions designed to empower customers, employees, and communities alike. The company boasts a strong reputation for quality, reliability, and innovation, maintaining its position at the forefront of the food distribution sector while continuously expanding and enhancing its services.

This job opportunity is for Class A Delivery Drivers operating primarily out of Farmingdale, NY, delivering to Long Island. The role offers a guaranteed minimum weekly pay of $1650, making it an attractive and stable employment option for experienced commercial drivers. Working Monday through Friday, with start times between 3:00 AM and 7:00 AM, these drivers operate local routes that ensure they return home nightly and enjoy weekends off. This schedule provides a balanced work-life dynamic invaluable to many professionals. The position is crucial in supporting America’s vital food distribution system, primarily delivering food and related products efficiently and safely.

Driver responsibilities extend beyond simply operating the vehicle; they act as key representatives of Core-Mark, fostering lasting relationships with customers through professional interaction and reliable service. Ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations is imperative. Drivers perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip safety inspections of tractors, trucks, and trailers, reporting any safety concerns immediately and maintaining compliance with all driving and operational guidelines. Their duties also include careful loading and unloading, verifying product counts, securing freight, and managing all required paperwork with accuracy and attention to detail.

Drivers often utilize equipment such as two-wheelers, lift gates, and other tools to handle products ranging in weight from approximately 10 pounds up to 90 pounds, supporting efficiency and safety during deliveries. Additionally, the role requires a clean driving record, valid CDL-A licensing, and successful completion of road and health tests in accordance with federal and state regulations.

Core-Mark offers a competitive compensation package paired with extensive benefits, including Day One Health and Wellness benefits, an Employee Stock Purchase Plan, 401(k) employer matching, education assistance programs, and paid time off. Employees benefit from a safe, inclusive work environment centered on respect, recognition, and rewards, with ongoing opportunities for growth and career progression. This commitment to workplace culture supports both personal and professional development among its workforce.
