This position is for Class A Drivers based in Farmingdale, NY, serving primarily Long Island local routes. It offers guaranteed minimum pay of $1650 per week with a Monday through Friday schedule. Shifts begin between 3:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m., providing the advantage of home nightly stays and weekends off. This role is critical to the company’s operation as the drivers play an essential part in America's food supply chain, ensuring timely and safe delivery of food and food service products. Drivers represent the company's face in the community, building lasting customer relationships while executing their duties.
The Driver - Supply Chain Management (SCM) responsibilities involve operating tractor trailers or straight trucks on a variety of routes including intrastate, interstate local, over-the-road (OTR), shuttle, and drive and drop routes. Drivers maintain rigorous safety inspections before and after trips following Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company policies. Monitoring vehicle conditions, reporting necessary repairs, and securing freight are fundamental tasks. Drivers complete accurate paperwork for all freight and deliveries, ensuring customers receive products in excellent condition.
Additional duties include verifying delivery items, obtaining customer signatures, collecting payments when applicable, unloading and loading goods, managing returns, and ensuring all equipment is secured at the end of each shift. Drivers also uphold cleanliness and organization standards in trucks and loading areas. A DOT Health Card is required, highlighting the position’s emphasis on health and safety.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Six months or more of commercial driving experience
- Valid CDL-A license
- Minimum age of 21 years
- Compliance with all state licensing and certification requirements
- Clean motor vehicle record for the last three years
- Successful completion of post-offer drug and criminal background checks
- Successful road test completion
- Valid or obtainable current DOT Health Card
- Physical ability to hand-lift and operate equipment to move product cases and freight
Job Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED or equivalent
- 6 plus months commercial driving experience
- Valid CDL-A
- Must be 21 plus years of age
- Meet all State licensing and or certification requirements where applicable
- Clean Motor Vehicle Report for past 3 years
- Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check
- Pass road test
- Attain or have valid current DOT Health Card or able to secure new DOT Health Card
- Able to hand-lift and utilize two-wheeler, lift gate and or other equipment to move and or stack product cases and freight of varying size and weight throughout shift
Job Duties
- Performs all required safety checks including pre and post trip inspections of tractor truck and trailer according to DOT regulations
- Inspects tractor truck and trailer to insure they meet company safety standards and take appropriate action as needed
- Reports all safety issues and or repairs required
- Follows all DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines and policies
- Immediately reports all safety hazards and inspects trailer for properly loaded and secured freight
- Performs count check of items and check customer invoices of loaded products
- Checks and completes in an accurate and legible fashion all required paperwork associated with freight
- Moves tractor to the loading dock and attach preloaded trailer as needed
- Drives to and delivers customer orders according to predetermined route delivery schedule
- Unloads products from the trailer and transports items into designated customer storage areas
- Performs damage control checks on items and contacts supervisor about removing orders according to company policy
- Verifies delivery of items with customer and obtains proper signatures
- Collects money where required
- Loads customer returns onto trailer and secures trailer doors
- Ensures that tractor, trailer, and freight are appropriately locked and/or always secured
- Unloads damaged goods and customer returns and completes necessary paperwork
- Unloads all equipment, materials and removes trash from trailers as required
- Completes daily record of hours of service and enters in log according to Federal DOT, state, and company requirements
- Performs general housekeeping duties in tractor and loading dock area
- Secures all equipment and completes all necessary paperwork at end of shift
- Performs other related duties as assigned
