Job Requirements
- High School diploma or GED
- 6 months or more commercial driving experience
- Valid CDL-A license
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Meet all state licensing or certification requirements
- Clean motor vehicle report for past 3 years
- Pass post-offer drug test and criminal background check
- Pass road test
- Attained or able to obtain valid DOT Health card
- Able to lift and use equipment to move product cases within weight limits
Job Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- Commercial driving experience of 6 months or more
- Valid CDL-A license
- Ability to pass post-offer drug test and criminal background check
- Attained or able to secure valid DOT health card
- Ability to lift and handle product cases ranging from 10-35 pounds and up to 60-90 pounds
- Customer service experience preferred
- Experience with onboard computer and electronic log systems preferred
- Familiarity with hand-held point of delivery scanning systems preferred
- Foodservice distribution industry experience preferred
Job Duties
- Perform all required safety checks including pre and post trip inspections of tractor, truck, and trailer according to DOT regulations
- Inspect vehicles and trailers to ensure they meet company safety standards and report any issues
- Follow all DOT regulations and company driving guidelines, reporting any hazards immediately
- Perform counts of loaded items and verify products against customer invoices
- Complete all necessary paperwork accurately and legibly for freight and deliveries
- Drive to and deliver customer orders according to scheduled routes
- Unload products and transport items into customer storage areas, performing damage checks and obtaining customer signatures
