Job Requirements
- High school diploma/GED or equivalent
- At least six months of commercial driving experience
- Possess a valid CDL-A license
- Be 21 years of age or older
- Meet all required state licensing or certification
- Maintain a clean motor vehicle report for the past three years
- Successfully pass a post-offer drug test and criminal background screening
- Pass a road test
- Hold or be able to obtain a valid DOT health card
- Ability to hand-lift product cases ranging from 10 to 90 pounds and use equipment like two-wheeler and lift gate
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED or equivalent
- Six or more months commercial driving experience
- Valid CDL-A license
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Meet all state licensing and/or certification requirements where applicable
- Clean motor vehicle report for the past three years
- Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check
- Pass road test
- Attain or have a valid current DOT health card or be able to secure a new DOT health card
- Ability to hand-lift and utilize equipment such as two-wheeler and lift gate to move or stack product cases of varying size and weight
Job Duties
- Perform all required safety checks including pre/post trip inspections of tractor/truck and trailer according to Department of Transportation regulations
- Inspect tractor/truck and trailer to ensure they meet company safety standards and take appropriate action as needed
- Report all safety issues and/or repairs required
- Follow all DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines and policies
- Immediately report all safety hazards
- Inspect trailer for properly loaded and secured freight
- Perform count check of items and check customer invoices of loaded products
- Check and complete all required paperwork associated with freight accurately and legibly
- Move tractor to loading dock and attach preloaded trailer as needed
- Drive to and deliver customer orders according to predetermined route delivery schedule
- Unload products from the trailer and transport items into designated customer storage areas
- Perform damage control checks on items, scan, and contact supervisor about removing orders as per company policy
- Verify delivery of items with customer and obtain proper signatures
- Collect money where required
- Load customer returns onto trailer and secure trailer doors
- Ensure tractor, trailer, and freight are appropriately locked and secured
- Unload damaged goods and customer returns and complete necessary paperwork
- Perform daily record of hours of service and enter log per DOT, state, and company requirements
- Perform general housekeeping duties in tractor and loading dock area, keeping trailers clear and clean
- Secure all equipment and complete all necessary paperwork at end of shift
- Perform other duties as assigned
