The role of Delivery Driver at Thistle is an integral part of its logistics department, reporting directly to the Logistics Supervisor. This position embodies the company’s commitment to quality and customer satisfaction since drivers are the final point of contact in the delivery process, representing the brand’s reliability and care directly at the customer’s doorstep. Delivery Drivers are tasked with ensuring that plant-forward meals arrive fresh and on time, which is crucial for maintaining both the integrity of the food and the trust of customers.

Delivering at Thistle is a well-compensated opportunity, starting at a base pay of $20.00 per hour, with additional earnings potential through a wage escalator that can add up to $2.00 more per hour based on delivery volume and hours worked. On top of this base pay, drivers can earn tips typically ranging from $1.00 to $3.00 per hour. Additional reimbursable expenses include a $0.25 per hour cell phone reimbursement and mileage reimbursement of $0.725 per mile. Deliveries average about 4.5 stops per hour over a distance of roughly 4.0 miles per delivery, which translates into a fully baked equivalent hourly rate ranging from $33.03 before tips to up to $38.03 per hour with tips and wage escalations included. The payroll is processed biweekly, and drivers have the option to access earned wages as early as the next day through Tapcheck, which deposits earnings to a debit card within 24 hours after shifts.

The Delivery Driver is expected to show up for shifts with a fully charged smartphone and enough fuel, verify delivery items for accuracy, utilize the company’s delivery app to complete stops and adhere to customer instructions, and collect return bags and ice packs to be used for subsequent shifts. Communication with the dispatch team is essential to maintain efficiency and route progress. This role requires a flexible schedule, including some early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, and involves physical demands such as lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds.
