Job Description

Robertson Heating Supply Co., a well-established and family-owned HVAC and plumbing supply distributor, has been proudly serving its customers for over 92 years. With 40 locations spread across Ohio, Western Pennsylvania, Michigan, Indiana, and West Virginia, Robertson Heating Supply Co. is recognized for its commitment to delivering high-quality products and exceptional value to its clients. The company has built a longstanding reputation in the industry by focusing on both customer satisfaction and providing reliable services. As a family-owned business, Robertson Heating Supply Co. values its employees and emphasizes cultivating a positive work environment that supports growth and development. They offer a competitive compensation package along with a comprehensive benefits program, making it a desirable place for individuals seeking stable employment in the distribution sector.

The current opening is for a full-time Delivery Driver/Warehouse Associate position, which includes the opportunity to assist at the sales counter as a Counter Salesperson when needed. This role is integral to Robertson Heating Supply's operations, as it combines warehouse responsibilities with delivery duties, directly impacting the quality of customer service and logistical efficiency. The working hours are from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday, with opportunities for overtime, providing a structured yet flexible schedule for employees.

The Delivery Driver/Warehouse Associate will be responsible for pulling orders through an inventory scanner system, preparing and staging orders for delivery, and completing daily delivery paperwork. Hands-on duties include loading and unloading deliveries using various equipment such as lift gates, hand trucks, pallet jacks, and forklifts. The role requires operating a 26-foot box truck or flatbed for timely deliveries to customers, emphasizing safety and accuracy. An ability to drive both manual and automatic transmissions is mandatory, highlighting the need for versatile driving skills. Additionally, candidates must be capable of performing basic maintenance and cleaning of both warehouse areas and delivery trucks to uphold operational standards.

This position demands a self-motivated individual with strong interpersonal and time management skills to foster good customer relations and maintain a positive attitude while representing the company. Prior customer service experience is beneficial but not essential. Due to the physical nature of the job, candidates must be able to lift weights of up to 50 pounds and operate forklifts competently. A critical requirement is possession of box truck driving experience, a valid Department of Transportation (DOT) physical or medical certificate, and the ability to pass background checks and drug testing. The company prioritizes job security and provides full-time employees with medical, dental, prescription drug coverage, paid holidays and vacation, disability and life insurance, and a 401k plan with both matching contributions and profit sharing, ensuring long-term stability and support for its workforce.
